Daylesford Dark History True & Fictional Crime Walking Tour

Discover dark stories of murder, mayhem, and mysterious crimes of Daylesford & surrounds on this 90-minute guided walk.

Set within the living museum town backdrop, this is a unique ‘dark history’ walking tour of Daylesford, led by Alice’s Journeys Walking Tours.  

This collection of unbelievable stories, will take you on a journey from the 1840s, through 1860s and 1870s, 1920s, 1980s & 2010s, accessing key sites including the infamous police lockup, heritage listed former Daylesford Court House and Daylesford Town Hall. Find out if truth is indeed stranger than fiction?

This is our exclusive Daylesford Words in Winter event. Inspired by Australian writers including Kerry Greenwood, Les Pitt, Beck Lister and volunteers at the Daylesford Museum, this walk will follow the notorious happenings of the corrupt judiciary, brothels, Chinese opium dens and much more!
